Influence of Movies on Fitness

Who doesn’t love watching movies? Movies are exciting, intriguing, and designed to entertain or make you think. Almost all of us at some point have wanted to look like a ripped actor/ actress in a movie.

One of the best returns on the two hours you invest in watching a movie can be that you come out wanting to change your physique for the better. Movies will directly connect you to the characters you are seeing on screen and slowly draw you into their world.

If you are looking for some motivation to start your transformation journey, then here are some of the most influential Hollywood and Bollywood movies that can be the kick-start you’ve been waiting for.

Most Influential Hollywood movies:

Hollywood has brought us many inspiring movies that have left a mark on the viewers. These movies inspire us to do great things.

Like, run a marathon to be like their favorite character in (unbroken). To quit smoking to avoid health risks highlighted in movies like (my sister’s keeper), they teach us no opponent is so powerful that they can’t be beaten (rocky). To channel one’s energy and focus into mastering an art (Never Back down), pushing your physical and mental limits (Fight Club).

My personal favorite is the Rocky series starring Sylvester Stallone. If this series doesn’t inspire you. Nothing can. It follows the story of Rocky Balboa and how that underdog gets that one opportunity to make it big and how it makes him count. Rocky 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 are amazing. Skip 5 if you like. But don’t you dare miss out on the 6th one. It’s the most moving. And look out for Rocky’s famous speech to his son. It gives me goosebumps all the time.

Most Influential Bollywood movies:

Bollywood too has its share of classics that have been super inspirational for people looking to get some motivation in their fitness journey.

Be it Mary Kom, which is based on the life struggles of five-time female world boxing champion Mary Kom, this movie tells you about the chronicles of her life. The movie brings out the several hardships she had to face before accomplishing her ultimate dream. In the end, you definitely rise up full of motivation.

Farhan Akhtar comes to mind with his all-time superhit Bhag Milkha Bhag which was the true-life story of Indian track and field sprinter Milkha Singh. The movie shows how his hard work and dedication towards the sports made him a successful athlete. The movie was super inspiring for the viewers.

Recently released Toofan starring Farhan Akhtar is also being admired by audiences around the world. The movie is about the life journey of a successful boxer who loses track of his career due to a ban and then makes a comeback after a few years. The Actors training sequences in the movie have to be its USP. It motivates you to the core.

Final Word:

Building an aesthetically appealing physique isn’t easy, you might need to watch these movies a couple of times to keep the newly ignited fire inside you, alive!
