Rest period for strength gains

Rest period between sets plays a vital role in achieving your goals in the gym. A great workout requires energy in order to go maximal on the weights. The body’s energy systems are designed in such a way that you can optimally utilize them for shorter periods of time if used in a particular way. During heavy lifting period much of the energy produced by the body comes from the ATP-CP system or Adenosine Triphosphate Phosphocreatine system.
