Subcutaneous Fat

While we all know there is fat in the body, barely do we realize that there are different types of fat that makes up for the entire body fat. One of the fat type being subcutaneous fat. Everyone has subcutaneous fat, but some people have more than others. The number of fat cells in the body is determined by genetics, and so some people are genetically predestined to have fewer fat cells, whereas other people have more fat cells.

Subcutaneous fat is the fat that lies under the skin. Between Visceral fat and Subcutaneous fat, the later is more recognizable. While Subcutaneous fat is a dreaded fat, visceral fat is the more harmful one of the two. This layer of fat helps to insulate your body and is a primary way that our bodies store energy. Fat in subcutaneous fat is stored in special cells, called fat cells.

Exercise and a good caloric diet is the perfect way to lose subcutaneous fat around the waist. Excessive build-up of fat around the waistline also gives rise to a lot of diseases or is in-fact a sign of oncoming health issues. Although the fat loss is a process where you get rid of body fat as a whole and not separately.
