Are fats a friend or enemy???
A good quality fats benefits you in various ways. The good quality fats are unsaturated fat and intake of unsaturated fat raises the HDL(high density lipoprotein) which is a good cholesterol.
High intake of saturated fat raises level of LDL(low density lipoprotein) which is bad cholesterol. LDL has larger volume so it difficult for them to move through the arteries as a result they stick to the walls of arteries and increases the risk of coronary artery disease.
We must have heard that good cholesterol helps in lowering the bad cholesterol, yes it is true but how does it happen? HDL as they are smaller hence large volumes of them in blood forces LDL to move thereby clearing the space inside the arteries. So circumvent yourself from saturated fats for a healthy heart and body.
